Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She works as an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation sometimes. She began her career at ESPN in 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bi-lingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful ability that allowed her to secure her first position as a production associate at Univision in Miami which gave her an opportunity to work with producers of national programming like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. The CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg hired her for a position as the sports reporter. In 2009 she moved to Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In reporting on news stories related to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking across the Texas and Mexico border, she served as a reporter for news on Fox2 News, which is a Spanish channel KNVO TV48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. As an anchor, her duties on weather and sports was frequent requests. She then anchored and reported at Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was appointed to more duties. She also covered major events such as the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. She also hosted an episode of the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. The anchor was also anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. She also served in that position for the channel's magazine program Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents are originally native to Veracruz Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd the 22nd of November, 1985 on the 22nd of November in Mexico City. She's younger than her sister. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. She divorced her parents shortly thereafter and, in 1995, she was married to an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo was diagnosed with kidney cancer. In the summer of 2006, she had the week she spent with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed there. A senior in high school and yet knowing exactly about what she wanted to pursue for her life, Antonietta attended her local University of Mount Union to see if it would meet her preferences. In the end, she loved the school and they were offering the major that she had been looking for. After completing her high school studies, she was accepted into the University to pursue media studies. They developed a lasting relationship with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the director for WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a member. Professor Mark Bergmann influenced her by his passion in journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
